RCM / Youth Minister Fundraiser

The River Community Church started out as a campus ministry.  It has always been our desire to see future generations raised up as warriors for Christ, but we have needed a full-time worker to support the ministry. After quite some time of prayer, God answered by sending us a former NSU basketball coach as our campus minister (please read Nicole’s bio below).

Currently, we are seeking financial support for Nicole’s monthly salary. If you feel called to evangelize Northwestern State University (NSU) campus, please click on the Support Nicole button.
Thank you for believing in her and supporting our outreach to NSU students!

Nicole Mitchell

Nicole was raised in Northern Virginia. At an early age she was drawn to sports as she played both basketball, baseball and soccer in high school. She would go on to earn four state championships. Nicole received her bachelor’s degree from Christopher Newport University, while also competing on a highly successful collegiate women’s basketball team. Following an early passion, Nicole started her collegiate basketball coaching career at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland where she earned her Masters Degree. She has coached college basketball all over the country. In 2018 she became the women’s basketball assistant coach for Northwestern State University. While in Natchitoches she became a member of The River Community Church, where she met Jesus in an intimate way for the first time. Recently hearing from God, and with the revelation to stop chasing trophies, Nicole is returning to Natchitoches to serve the youth and to help win college students to Christ.
