Our Story
The River Community Church was established in December 2006 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, as an inter-denominational fellowship devoted to Christ’s Kingdom. Founded by Pastors Ellis and Melinda Newman, we are a Spirit-led body focused on fulfilling the mission to encourage, equip, and empower the church to work together.
We are active in supporting missions around the globe and lead our congregation through worship, teaching, and counseling. Our heart is to equip every person to be the church to our community and the world. At The River, God is our center and our focus, as He is the source of all redemption and salvation.
